In practice since 2002, I combine my education as a Massage Therapist, and a Physical Therapy Assistant, to deliver lasting results. I don’t want my clients to have to choose between pain relief and relaxation, so my services are the perfect blend of the two! I use a variety of therapeutic techniques to both relieve muscle tension and promote relaxation so you walk away feeling restored.
I graduated from the Wisconsin Institute of Natural Wellness massage school in 2002 and began my career at a resort spa where I spent 9 years working on thousands of clients from all over the world. I gained valuable bodywork experience addressing a wide variety of issues while learning the art of excellent customer service. With a strong foundation in place, I was ready to branch out on my own and add my personal touch to a private practice.
In 2005, I opened my own office where I could create a stronger connection with clients, and have the freedom to develop individual therapeutic plans. The cumulative benefits of consistent massage therapy can be life-changing for someone with chronic pain, stress, and anxiety in their life. Having my own practice allowed me to build relationships with my clients and establish myself as an integral part of their wellness routines.
I saw the need to further enhance my skills in pain relief, and in 2016 received my Associate degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant. This further expanded my knowledge of musculoskeletal anatomy, dysfunction, and injury rehabilitation. This extensive training gives me a unique perspective and approach for clients with ongoing chronic pain.
I moved to Huntersville, NC in 2018 in search of milder winters and a place to open a practice in a thriving, active community. Once again I have been able to create an oasis for those living busy lives. Settled among local farmer’s markets, live music, street fairs, and festivals Knead It or Knot Massage balances out the dynamic offerings of the town with rest and relaxation.
I look forward to continuing to build relationships in the Huntersville community and helping those that are dealing with aches, pains, stress, and anxiety. So, whether you are coming in for a massage after being on Lake Norman all day, or simply need a little peace and quiet...I can help!
